Gender Network - Policy Plan

• The CEE Network will continue to strengthen its support to women’s organisations, women MPs and party leaders from socialist and social democratic parties in CEE through a thematic and sub-regional approach. The following general lines of development and activities are planned for the period:
• Support to development of strategies and substantive capacity for the promotion of women in political decision making within parties (including the implementation of the quota system) and in electoral processes;
• Support to the inclusion of gender concerns in the EU enlargement process through advocacy, policy formulation, strategy setting and partnership with the PES.
• Development of support to women’s organisations, women MPs and party leaders from socialist and social-democratic parties through it’s sub-regional offices in Tallin (Baltic States, Russia, Ukraine and Belarus), Budapest (Central Europe) and Ljubljana (South Eastern Europe). Sub-regional strategy setting and mutual support through networking
• Capacity development training programmes tailored for each sub-region
